Overview

VoidZero exists to make the next generation of web developers more productive than ever before. Its ecosystem includes some of the most important tools in modern JavaScript, including its flagship product Vite. Individually, these tools were powerful. Collectively, they lacked a coherent story.

Each product carried its own identity, its own logic, and its own visual language. The risk was not inconsistency alone, but confusion: a growing ecosystem without a clear centre. VoidZero needed a unified brand system that could preserve the equity of Vite while connecting every tool into a single, legible platform narrative. Together partnered with VoidZero to design that system and with it, a brand that could scale alongside the future of web development.

01

From fragmented tools to a unified ecosystem

Vite is one of the most trusted tools in modern web development. Its identity could not be disrupted. At the same time, Vite+ needed to feel more refined, more productised, and more clearly positioned as a premium layer. Rolldown and Oxc, while less visible to most developers, still needed to belong to the same world. The challenge was not to simplify the ecosystem by flattening it, but to clarify it by structuring it. We defined VoidZero as the gateway — the layer that connects open source innovation, commercial capability, and internal engineering power into a single toolchain.

02

A brand architecture built for clarity and scale

The system follows a branded-house approach, governed by an 80/20 rule. Eighty percent consistency, twenty percent distinction. At its core is a shared logo structure. The VoidZero wordmark, typeset in Rooftop Wide Extrabold and framed by the bracket device — the gateway — establishes authority, confidence, and direction. Every product logo follows the same lockup logic, ensuring instant recognition across the suite.

Each product is then given its own icon and colour, allowing Vite, Vite+, Rolldown, and Oxc to remain visually distinct while clearly belonging to the same system. The result is a logo family that behaves like a language. Familiar, repeatable, and scalable. One foundation with many expressions.

03

Visualising the “gateway”

VoidZero’s role is to unify. To bring tools and performance into a single development experience. That idea is expressed through the gateway supergraphic — a visual representation of access, speed, and flow. The supergraphic acts as a connective tissue across the ecosystem. It appears in different colour variations that correspond to each product’s palette, reinforcing both unity and distinction. Where the logos establish recognition, the gateway establishes meaning.

A system designed for marketing, documentation, and beyond

The brand needed to live where developers live: not just on VoidZero’s website, but in documentation, repositories, interfaces, and ecosystems that change constantly. The system was designed to move easily across these touchpoints, allowing new tools to be introduced without redefining the language each time. It gives VoidZero a foundation strong enough to carry what has not yet been built.
